Future Structural Engineer August 30, 2008 Robert Gargano (NH) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 9 year old daughter was entertained for hours assembling the first maze of pieces. She improvised a bit but I encouraged it. Great learning tool for thinking.
super K'nex kit August 4, 2008 electronics fan (Brookline, MA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A great toy and mesmerizing when it's all built. My 6 year old had a great time putting together the coaster structure and I helped him with the track, which was too hard for him alone. It was 6 hours work for him, with an hour of help from me. It's a great toy because one can disassemble it and put together other coasters as well. The instructions have three different designs, but I can imagine he'll figure some simple setups out by himself. Highly recommended!
Hard to build, but fun! June 4, 2008 H. Snyder (Longview, WA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm 10 years old. It took me 3 days to build, but I was able to do it all by myself. It wasn't easy! Getting the tracks on was the hardest part. My whole family enjoyed playing with the coasters after I had it all built. We had to keep adjusting it to make the coasters go - it keeps coming loose in places.
great fun May 22, 2008 Pamela A. Tolbert 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
my grandchildren had hours of fun putting this together and even took it to school for a project. it takes several hours and it turned into a family project. i think they had more fun putting it together than running it. a great weekend activity. only problem it does not hold together well to move as when we took it to school, pieces came apart and came off.
Fun way to kill time May 1, 2008 3girliesandalilguy (utah) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 12 year old daughter has loved k'nex building sets for years. The Serpent's Spiral Coaster took her a couple evenings for her to finish. My 3 year old son loves to watch it work, but I think my daughter had more fun putting it together than watching it run. It's a good thing there are a few different configurations for it to keep her interested. Would recommend for any kid who likes puzzles or building sets.
