The Crayola Color Explosion Glow Board offers a unique way for kids to display their art, as it lights up drawings much like a neon sign. It incorporates several violet lights under the drawing surface. When lit, these lights cause the ink to take on a vivid, striking glow. The board's surface is reusable -- ink erases in an instant -- making it good for hours of fun at a time. Children can easily display their artwork by using the easel back to prop the board in place. And the board's two separate drawing layers give kids even more room to doodle. The glow board's markers come in six dazzling neon colors -- red, blue, yellow, green, orange, and pink. With these colors at their command, kids will be able to create a multitude of different drawings. Perhaps they will envision a galaxy with stars and planets, or render an undersea adventure. The markers have medium tips, which can draw thickly but also offer the ability to draw finer images. A tracing sheet comes with the board to help kids get ideas for their artwork.  Short term fun December 30, 2008

This is a fun idea but poorly executed. The board scratches easily but requires a firm scrub to clean. The markers have dried out already and we've had it 4 days. They do make special cleaning rags for it. My kids 6, 4 and 2 enjoyed it but were irritated at the cleaning process so they would only play with it shortly. Not something i would pay over twenty dollars for. We bought it on clearance at fourteen ninty five.

I just want to agree with a few others regarding this toy. First it is a pain to clean over and over withouth causing damage. The markers dry out faster than you can get the cap back on. The back plastic screen took so much wrangling to even get it to work was a nightmare. It did not line up correctly. I had an easier time putting together A thomas the train canyon railroad with bridges and waterfalls. lol.. had to really jam it in the slot. forget about really leaving it on for display as it doesn't glow much anywhere except for in the dark. So leave it on at night? Well then the batteries run down too quickly. A horse a piece I guess
The good, my mother got each of my children one as they both wanted it. My son is 3 and daughter is 6. They both really do like the color effect in the dark. As of right now they are both ill and it has really held their attention and kept them settled down. (printed new designs at webiste) My daughter wants to keep it turned on outside her room at night so i have to sneak and turn it off.
Very good concept, a few improvements could be made to the durability, structure, and life of the markers.

The Crayola color explosion glowboard seemed to have potential and for 15 minutes, my granddaughter enjoyed playing it with her mother's direction and supervision. We were surprised when it quit working the very evening she opened it and decided the batteries were old. Upon replacing the batteries with new ones, it was still non-functional. I'm really sorry I ordered this for our granddaughter's Christmas.

This board has given the kids lots of fun times. They leave me flashing signs when they go to sleep, they leave messages to each other, they take it in the van and write Merry Christmas on it to show the other cars! I like this item and the only catch with it is the markers ran out and I had to purchase extra markers at Crayola.com. Wal-Mart stopped carrying the extra markers. They were a little pricey, but worth it to keep using the item. The one I ordered this year is for my niece and we have had ours since last Xmas. It has been played with to the fullest. I would definitely purchase again!

My granddaughter age five wanted this for the celebration of our lords birth, I being a retired Firefighter on a fixed low income have watched the price of this toy skyrocket. Three weeks ago Amazon had it for [...], now its [...] and wait till the 26th & it will be [...], Amazon is getting to much like Mall-Wart. Hey Amazon We Are Not Stupid!
